Holistic Integrated Development Approach to HIV/AIDS

The major goal over the plan period is to promote improved and more effective policies that incorporate HIV/AIDS in the broader developmental strategies.  This will start with studies and reviews of national and regional interventions, as well as studies to better understand the effects of civil conflict on the HIV/AIDS challenge.  These studies and reviews will lead to a set of project activities that include:
• Capacity by governments for research, technology and information access;
• Cost reduction and greater access to treatment;
• Culturally viable and family oriented interventions to supporting HIV/AIDS orphans and vulnerable children.
